Why am I being asked to reconnect my account?

When you originally signed up for Earny, you granted email access so that Earny could track your purchases and find you ways to save money. These permissions were set by the your email provider and included read, write and delete emails. 

Recently, Earny was able to reduce the level of email permissions for Gmail users. Earny now only asks for access to read and write emails. 

Users who have not already agreed to this new set of permissions will receive a notification asking them to do so. Just click “reconnect account” in the email or log into your Earny account. If you do not reconnect your account, Earny will no longer be able to save you money. 

Please note, you can only reconnect your email via the Android or IOS Earny app. You will not be able to reconnect your email on our website.
